Results released recently by online booking agency, Gulliver Ireland, reveal that a County Wexford local has taken out the
prized position of the 2008 Hotel of the Year. The Ferrycarrig Hotel, Ferrycarrig, took the first place for best overall
property, with separate prizes being awarded to the best B&B, hotel, and self-catering property in each region. Last year's
overall winner award was taken by the Temple Bar Hotel, a Dublin hotel
that has rapidly been recognised as a veritable
Irish institution.

Leading the pack in terms of ratings from another reputed online accommodation booking agency, Expedia, is a Rosslare

Best Green Companies' Marriott Hotels came in at position no. 17 overall, and first in the hotel sector. Let's just hope that
other hotels, both large and small-scale ventures, can follow this lead and have a greater presence in the Green List for
2010!
